Dozzer isn't the first. Dozzer just had some brave women to speak for him. Pitbull Rocko was recently killed by the Sechelt SPCA. No volunteer spoke for him. Rocko

"Dear friends: As you all know, I have been a supporter of the BC SPCA Victoria Branch both as an advocate raising funds and as a volunteer dog walker. Earlier this year the Penny Stone was dismissed as Branch Manager and new management was brought in. Although I disagreed with Penny being let go, I continued to walk dogs as they still need our love and support. There was an incident on Tuesday night that I feel the public needs to know about and makes me question my involvement with the BC SPCA (BCSPCA) going forward. Under Penny's management, the Victoria Shelter was known as a very low kill shelter. Dogs were only euthenized under extreme circumstances and only if Penny felt there was no other option available. On Tuesday night, two dogs, Bear and Dozzer, were euthenized and management not only did not make us aware, as Penny always did, they are refusing to answer questions about why. These were two loving dogs that I would have taken on as pets. We are demanding answers but no one is responding so I am taking this public and ask your support in writing letters or sending emails to make management fess up. This is not an issue that can be swept under the rug. If we don't stand up for the animals then who will?"

AAS IS SAVING ALL PAGES (INCLUDING CACHED PAGES) ABOUT THE KILLING OF DOZZER AND BEAR BY THE VICTORIA SPCA. There are many interesting and informative comments. We hope to see an explanation from the SPCA as to why Bear's physical health declined from a healthy dog to a dog that looked extremely thin and sick before he was killed. We don't believe that Bear was a Boxer. In over 20 years of dog rescue, we have heard many times, Pitbull rescuers or Pitbull owners trying to rehome their dog, saying their dog is a Boxer. We think he is Pitbull or Pitbull cross as was Dozzer. We question the SPCA's public and private Pitbull agendas. We hope to read more about the vets who were involved. Did any of those vets remark on the horrifying decline mentally and physically while in the protetctive care of the Victoria SPCA?
