Animal Advocates got one of those emails we get so often get. Someone asks us for help for ownerless cats who they don't have the resources to help and who doesn't want the cats picked up and very possibly killed by the BC SPCA. There seems to be a reduced chance of the SPCA killing whole colonies of cats since it seems, from reports, that the $30 million a year SPCA sometimes simply refuses to do anything at all, leaving most stray or feral cat rescue in BC to the little groups.

In fact, the person who asked Animal Advocates for help had found out that the SPCA knew of this colony and had indicated that all it would do is kill the cats if they were brought in to the SPCA.

Animal Advocates prevented the cats from being killed. We are paying for all of them to be spayed or neutered and any health problems addressed.

The person who had the humanity to save the cats will rehome the cats that are rehomable (but only to someone he knows), and he will continue to care for them – with Animal Advocates' help.
