There is little hope that the politicians will make changes to the animal rights bill anytime soon. Undoubtedly they are influenced only by how many votes they can get out of their important constituents - and just how many of us so-called 'animal lovers' are influential in the political circle?
Unless one of our representatives has a personal experience in the world of animal rescue, and decides to lobby and push, the bills will continue to die quickly - and the unfortunate animals die slowly.
