Topo is a very good-natured, very affectionate 9-year old Lhasa Apso who weighs 35 lbs. He should weigh about 15-18 lbs, meaning he is very obese. He was fed until he could only waddle. He was only walked on a leash, only going the speed of his elderly owner, which meant his exercise levels were low, further compounding his obesity. He was going to be taken to a pound to be put in a concrete cell when an AAS supporter heard and asked us to take him. We immediately got him to our vet and on a diet. Topo will go to a home where he is treated like a real dog, where he will get to run off-leash safely and where he won't be fat again.
