Stanford University feral cat rescue could be used to rescue UVic rabbits *LINK*

Here is a link to the Stanford University's feral cat problem on their campus. It seems to me that if these people can all pull together to properly care for the numerous cats on their properties, perhaps the UVic people could do the same for the rabbits that they are dealing with.

I suppose it would sound stupid to many people; after all, why would anyone except the extreme animal welfare organizations give a darn about rabbits? However, perhaps it wouldn't hurt to get a mini-campaign going to see if there just might be a truly humane solution to the rabbit problem. What is the alternative? Likely death to many innocent creatures, thanks entirely to mankind's irresponsible behaviours at both ends of the spectrum: releasing unwanted pets in the beginning, and killing the offspring at the end.
Diane.
