Surrey -- Tiger the Survivor: Tiny kitten escapes torture *LINK* *PIC*

Yesterday, a volunteer with A Better Life Rescue Society, saw, out of the corner of her eye, a tiny blur of movement on the side of the road. Sensing there was some small animal in trouble, she stopped and looked. Rescuers stop, and look, and listen, and then they take action.

She searched until she found a tiny terrified kitten hiding in a pile of junk. He wasn't terrified of humans because he was feral, he was terrified of humans because he had been tortured.

He had been burned on many parts of his body, his tail so badly that it has to be removed quickly as it is already gangrenous.

Rescuers are ready for anything. He was immediately put on subcutaneous fluids for severe dehydration, dewormed for an infestation of worms, and was at the vet the next day. His tail will be removed on Thursday.

A Better Life's bills last year were over $50,000, much of it paid for personally by its few members. Please, please, go to A Better Life and make a donation.

A foster home is needed near Cloverdale. If you can foster wee Tiger, let them know right now.
