Thanks to all the wonderful people in McBride, BC.. who went out of their way, to ensure these abandoned horses did not die of starvation and freezing.
The horses are now in the custody of the SPCA and hopefully, charges soon pending against the 'owner' who would like to have Belle and Sundance back. I didn't see any mention that this person assisted in the shoveling of the 1km long trail, with 6-7' high snow and temperatures around -18c - 20C.
