She's a little frosty because while I was trying to get my silly camera to unfreeze in the cold air I gave her a carrot and she took it into her heated doghouse to eat. We then went for a little walk around our cat yard---she just loves the snow! Unfortunately, she has to wear a cone right now, so not much playing for her for a couple of weeks. She's now snuggled up warm with my 9 month old male lab x on the couch.

She's a sweetheart and is learning a lot. She listens very well and tolerates my old wobbly male dog and loves my young male dog. I'm not sure how she'd do with my females. I haven't tried to put them together, nor will I. It's not likely they'll get along. All my females are female aggressive and Pepper seems like she could be, too.

Also, she's really good with the cats. I think I've only seen her sniff one once. It's almost as though she doesn't even care about them---not even curious. Some of them have even rubbed up on her and even her cone! So, no problems there.

She'll need more training, no doubt. Especially if she will be around small children. She's got a voracious appetite, too---she is the craziest dog I've ever seen when it comes to food (and I've rescued my share of neglected, starving dogs). Right now, as I write, she's attempting to counter surf without me seeing. She wants to eat everything she can get her mouth on. Everything. We're working with her the best we can regarding this, but it will probably take a long time for her to understand that she will always be fed. She needs to be filled with love, attention, and care, most importantly, before she can finally feel full. It's most likely that in the last couple of months when she was staying at The Parents' house (who are an old native couple) she didn't get much to eat---maybe the occasional fish or bone sort of meals.

If you know of anyone who would love this girl, pass along her pictures! I'm going to start immediately looking for a home for her.

Thanks again,
Robyn
