Dr. Nathan Winograd has made some really perceptive comments on PETA's leader Ingrid Newkirk. Nathan is a leading spokesman for the No Kill movement in the U.S. He tries to analyze Ms. Newkirk's psychology. He questions why so many people have the idea that the kindest thing you can do for animals is to kill them. The Munchhausen Syndrome is his diagnosis for Ms. Newkirk.
Nathan wonders why Ms. Newkirk gets so much support from some animal groups, including HSUS. Neither group has any shelters for animals.
I am not surprised at the huge percentage of kills of domestic animals made by PETA. They have done good work investigations, but when it comes to cats and dogs they have nothing good to offer.
