PROTEST OR CELEBRATE FOR TINA: Saturday, May 31st
It is expected that the Greater Vancouver Zoo will announce today where Tina will spend what remains of her life. It is hoped that she will go to the Tennessee Sanctuary, but this is not yet a certainty.
Either way, there are going to be demonstrations of love for Tina and protests against the way that her animal-business owners treat her like a marketable product, and we hope a celebration of the news that she is going to live in a paradise in Tennessee.
Rafe Mair of CKNW announced a protest being organized for 9:00 a.m. and Shannon Nelson of CFUN announced one at 11:00 a.m. We hope the media will be out in force. And we hope that friends of AAS will be out to show their support for Tina too.
DIRECTIONS: Trans Canada Highway One, exit south at 264th (#73), to the Zoo at 5048 264th Street in Aldergrove, 500 meters south of the highway.
