Taking credit is an old SPCA game

The BC SPCA allowed the media in BC to give it credit for the rescue of 56 chained and neglected dogs near Creston BC, that the SPCA knew about for years but ignored. It did not stop the media from giving it the credit for this rescue, and the donations it would attract were taken from the tiny, heroic organization that did the work and paid the bills.

It took AAS pointing out to the CRTC, Global, and the SPCA that we know that the law considers that theft of credit equals theft of money, especially for animal welfare organizations that depend entirely on donations, for there to be a grudging (just enough to ward off the lawyers) admission that Creston PAWS were the heroes.
