In one back yard there are two huge Rotties, in the other what look to be two pit bull crosses.

Behind my daughter's school there are several houses where the back yards boarder on the kids playground. In one back yard there are two huge Rotties, in the other what look to be two pit bull crosses.

My daughter kept telling me the kids were mean to the dogs, so the other morning I went to see. And sure enough, kids were kicking the gate, teasing and provoking these huge dogs. The dogs were lunging at the gate, beside themselves with rage. The fence is not that high, and there is lots of shrubbery going up it.

The thought of the scene, if these two dogs got angry enough to climb the fence into a busy children's playground sent me running to the office to see the principal. She assured me she would speak to every class. Hopefully about cruelty, as well as about danger. A few more kicks, a few more things thrown..it could have been a hard and terrible lesson learned.

It makes me wonder how many more "accidents waiting to happen" there are in the lower mainland.

We have not ever suggested that any dog ought to be killed simply for being of a certain breed
