Amos is a two year old Coonhound x German Shorthaired Pointer. He is friendly and lively and always eager to play. Amos enjoys horsing around with other dogs his size, then retiring to the couch for rest.
He is friendly with all people, but can be a bit frightened of men he doesn't know. Amos seems to bond more quickly with women.
Amos would be best suited to a home with no small children, cats, or small dogs, as he often forgets his size, and small children or animals could be bowled over by his exuberance. Being a hound, Amos tends to lose himself in his own houndy world, and so requires a human who can regularly remind him what it was he was supposed to be doing in the first place whenever his mind goes wandering. A home with hound experience, and with at least one other large active dog would be best for Amos. While Amos's sole purpose in life seems to be just to play play play, he would benefit from obedience training. He is a very affectionate and enthusiastic dog who just needs some gentle guidance and another big silly dog like himself to play with all day.
