This decision had to happen.I too have a soft heart for this breed.My heart aches when I see what too many of these dogs become.The reality however is that no amount of love, heartache, tears or attempts to reverse this decision will change the danger to the community at large.There are too many deeds to be dealt with on an individual basis.
In approving this decision,no one is asking Karen Wood to choose between her children and her dog. No one is asking that of anybody.The law simply reflects recognition of a clear danger and has been passed as a means to provide protection.
