You bet Chilliwack has a huge number of puppy mills. WHY IS IT STILL LEGAL FOR THIS TO HAPPEN?

This is disgusting!!! Anyone who has the resources and the time and the space and the heart, is already FULL of dogs...the dog overpopulation is nuts. Of course, the SPCA knows that, and Chilliwack especially, as it is so very busy.

I volunteered for years at just ONE animal shelter and left totally distraught over the immense number of hours and time put in by volunteers matching animals up to the suitable homes. And then three times as many dogs would come in needing homes...and that is just ONE shelter.

You bet Chilliwack has a huge number of puppy mills. WHY IS IT STILL LEGAL FOR THIS TO HAPPEN??? There badly, badly needs to be breeding by-laws in place. AT the VERY LEAST the SPCA could be making sure that these people are paying taxes on the money they collect for all that dog breeding..that would at least put a dint into the huge profits going on with puppy mills. Not only that it protects the public..these dogs being bred are not of sound mind or health very often. How many families end up broken hearted because the dog is sick, either mentally or physically???

This is nuts and to those of us who have volunteered at the SPCA and have seen the animal overpopulation problem, it is offensive to even suggest what the Chillwack SPCA manager has.

There needs to be WAY more done...the SPCA needs to take responsibility for being an agency for the animals and spay and neuter ALL animals before leaving their premises (animals leaving without being fixed with just those certificates is just ludicruous), and there needs to be a breeding by-law in place...come on already!!!

Perhaps if people like Ms. Caglayan could witness a round up and shoot to kill in northern B.C.
