I would like to express my sincere appreciation of the comments made by Dr. Naomi Rose on the plight of the Hood and Harp seals. Her statements are the true facts and ones that need our utmost attention if we are going to stop this animal genocide.

The question is: How are we going to do this? We don't have the power as individuals or for that matter as a group, to stop the Canadian government from continuing this slaughter.

Writing letters and protesting outside the local Department of Fisheries and Oceans offices never seems to have an effect. Voicing our disgust through the media always goes unheard and unseen. Only boycotting seems to have worked because it has at least stopped the seal murderers from killing the whitecoats for the fur, but still they kill the seals. This is a very maddening situation because of the magnitude of the kill. No animal should die in my view. Killing them in the millions is categorically insane.

The more we get this out to the public, the more people will know what our government is doing and that is the only way we will stop it. That is why I praise Dr. Rose for her comments. We need more people like her to come forth and condemn the evil-doers, if we are going to stop this atrocity once and for all.
