For the SPCA's animal-loving donators the SPCA says it does not agree with breed-specific laws. The average person believes the "no bad dogs, just bad owners" myth (in spite of plain evidence and science to the contrary) and so the SPCA panders to this well-meaning ignorance by publicly pretending that it does not know the incontrovertible fact that dogs are bred for many traits, one of them being fighting and another being protection, and that breeding for traits works. (It is not just the SPCA that is afraid of losing business by telling the truth. "Dog behaviour experts" pretend the same.)

But behind mostly closed doors, and for several million dollars year, the SPCA enforces laws that are based on the fact that some dog breeds are deliberately bred to be more dangerous than others.

This is only one example of the SPCA's dishonesty, self-serving, and anti-animal welfare policies and actions.
