This sequence of events leaves many unanswered questions

This sequence of events leaves many unanswered questions: What happened to the 52 animals after they were seized in October? Did the owner get them back from the BCSPCA, after paying the SPCA's "seizure costs" like other accused animal abusers have done since the SPCA began its much ballyhooed "seizure sweep"?

A suspected puppy mill operation that is under investigation for animal cruelty can continue to supply Greater Vancouver pet stores with "product", if the SPCA leaves some breeding animals or if it returns the seized animals after the owner pays the SPCA's inflated "seizure costs". Why are some suspected BC puppy mills shut down and banned from having animals for life, and yet this one appears to have been carrying on business as usual for the past seven months without charges even been laid?

And most importantly, has the BCSPCA asked any level of government in this province to make puppy mills illegal anywhere in BC? I cannot see the point in raiding these places, going through the court process, just to have them open up shop again.
