Animal Advocates Watchdog

Unlimited surrender is corrupting, not noble, and means one HAS to kill for space.

Of course the SPCA kills for a lack of space - its unlimited surrender policy demands that it must.

Instead of working to solve the problem of overcrowding by limiting its intake policy to what its resources allow it to truly save, by pursuing control of breeding legislation, and by implementing pre adoption spay/neuter at all branches, the SPCA has chosen instead to squander its money on trips to England to research and develop fancy sounding "scientific" assessment tests which it uses as an excuse to kill unsellable animals at its overcrowded facilities.

Mr. Daniell seems to feel that there is something noble about taking in every animal that darkens the SPCA's doorstep. If the SPCA had the resources to truly save every animal it took in, yes, that would be noble. But it doesn't, so it isn't. It kills for lack of resources, whether that be space, money, or homes. Unlimited intake means that the SPCA is simply society's pet disposer, and easy disposal enables more dumping.

There is nothing noble about being society's disposer of innocent lives, and being an enabler only means that you are part of the problem, not part of the solution.
