I commend you for your excellent letter and support your position completely. I know you must be proud of your granddaughter.It is rare for children her age to understand the cruelty when so many people around them are applauding and cheering. It is even more rare that children speak up. I have been aware of several situations where adults have been faced with hearing the brutal truth from a child. Your daughter and granddaughter are right on in their assessments and so are you. I am sorry they had to experience such a traumatic event. The abuse of animals at the rodeo extends itself to the abuse of children by exposing them without warning to emotionally damaging "entertainment" and by allowing them to participate as well. Shame on those who allow this to occur!!! I too question "Where are the SPCA and Child Protective Services"???
