Below is the latest e-mail that I have sent to the SPCA "brass" regarding Odie. It breaks my heart to tell you that there is still no information on him or his location:

It is now May 4th and there is still the "appearance" of deceit, cover-up, misinformation, and lack of truth in regards to Odie.

This message was sent to you on May 1st, 2002:

I am requesting urgent information on Odie, Maple Ridge ID#6793/Vanc ID#17451. There "appears" to be confusion, cover-up, ignorance, denial or outright deceit in reference to this dog, his health and his current location.

Odie has been tracked through the system by caring volunteers, first from Maple Ridge and then to the Vancouver Shelter. He has captured the hearts of many, and now they are gravely concerned about the lack response in reference to his current status.

I am urging you to supply me with Odie's current information...health, temperament, location (fostered, sheltered, adopted) and, if Odie is still within the SPCA system there is a wonderful new home waiting for him, so please do not delay in your response to me.

On May 2nd I was at the Maple Ridge Shelter when Rick approached me to discuss the fact that he had traced Odie through the system....first Maple Ridge, then Coquitlam then Surrey, then the hospital, then Vancouver, then...etc. etc. and Rick was pleased to report that indeed Odie was happily adopted by a new family.

I was so grateful, I sent out a thank you note to all....expressing how wonderful it was to know that Odie was safe and to express my feelings regarding the health issues around "shuffling".

No sooner was I home from the shelter that I received an e-mail expressing that Odie was fine, but was in need of a HOME!

If there is anything I despise, its being played for a FOOL.....

I contacted Rick who immediately looked into this matter and discovered that, in the morning Odie was listed as adopted, and within a few hours, Odie was listed as fostered....with NO FOSTER CONTACT INFORMATION on record!

Volunteers and staff have been seeking information on Odie's status and not one of them has been able to obtain this information??? What is the secret, or is Odie's life simply not an issue?? How can this be? What is the cover-up with Odie? Why will no one tell us where he is? What is his status? How is his health?

Odie has a wonderful adoptive home waiting for him....IS HE STILL ALIVE. The doubt begins to grow more each day.

I am requesting immediate information on Odie's location and documentation that will indeed prove he is alive.

There are many, many concerned citizens, volunteers and staff members involved in Odie's life who wish to know the answers to the above questions.

WHERE IS ODIE????
