Re: report of pit bull fighting ring; (address) Surrey, V4P 2J9

AAS received this email from a person well-known as a pit bull rehabilitator:

"Someone just called me to say that they had found out the address of a pitbull
fighting ring/handler/breeder in Cloverdale (info came from a third party who used to live nearby and has rented space from the guy and has seen first hand what methods this guy uses: puppies as bait, chaining multiple dogs, obvious cruelty, etc)."

The person reporting to us wishes to remain anonymous – at this time.

Would you please investigate this report and tell us your findings as soon as possible?

We know that the SPCA can provide much more information on its investigations and actions than were provided by Shawn Eccles, Manager of Field Operations, VR SPCA, in his April 23rd report to the City of Vancouver on the dogs in our reports, "Raising the Bar", and we request that we receive a reasonable amount of information on the matter of the pit bull dogs that may be part of a dog fighting operation.

Yours truly,

Judy Stone,
President, Animal Advocates Society of BC
