Letter to editor:
Yes, the news of Tammy Grime's arrest has reached Canada thanks to the internet. Now there's international attention and probably not the kind the Freedom Township Police and the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society was looking for. I can imagine that for many, including the local police, this seems to be another case of an animal activist who has gone too far. However, after watching the video and looking at the photographs of Doogie laying in the mud, clearing injured and/or dying, it's obvious that the culprit isn't Ms. Grimes but rather the Arnolds, who absurdly deny any wrongdoing, and the local police who have botched this from the beginning by arresting the wrong person. I'm not sure what the entire role the Humane Society has had; however, anyone can see that Ms. Grimes appears to be the only one in the right here. I would've done the same thing without a second thought and I generally consider myself a law-abiding citizen. I like to believe that anyone with an ounce of heart or moral fiber would not have left this dog to die. To leave a person or animal in an undeniably injured state is wrong. Period. I fully support charges against Tammy Grimes being dropped. The international community is watching too.
