Oscar is only about 3 years old so he will make a good recovery, but he will always have some arthritis in the knee. If we can't raise the funds to pay for what may cost be several thousands of dollars, the vet assured us that because he is so small (about 7 lbs) and because he gets around well, that it's not as crucial that Oscar have the surgery as it would be if he were larger. We'd like to have the surgery done of course, but we, and Oscar, will need a lot of help. Please make a donation for Oscar if you can. |

If you would like to give Oscar the home he deserves, please contact us at animaladvocates@telus.net. We ask that you pay for half the surgery. |

Oscar is especially affectionate, always wanting to be carried and snuggled and taken everywhere. And he's good with the cats in his foster home! |
| There has been such a flood
of appeals for help this year that we
may not be able to reply very quickly or at all
to more appeals. AAS is now so well-known for its
experience in all animal welfare and rescue matters that we are
asked for advice and help from all over BC, Canada, the U.S. and
the world. For years I have answered each and every appeal with
detailed advice that I have learned from 20 years of rescue and
advocacy. Our high standards are well-known to the public, that
is why we are so often asked for help and advice. We are currently working on so many projects that I am sorry to have to tell you that we may not be able to help you with your rescue and/or your personal bills. Judy Stone Please donate if you want to help us help more needy animals. |
One of the most powerful things you can do
is to spread our web of compassion for animals. Send the AAS Website to everyone you know who hates cruelty to animals. The power of
animal-lovers joined together by the internet is changing animal protection and welfare in this province.
Use your power for the animals!
