In Memory of Oki

Harry Rankin once said "Its not a tragedy when an old man dies." I suppose that's true, but it didn't stop me from crying all day for my Oki Dog when he died on August 16th 2005.

Oki Dog was dumped at the SPCA in Vancouver in August 2003, when his "family" moved. He was fourteen-years-old. Oki Dog  was devastated, and barely moved from his bed for 4 days. He was happy when I took him home and blended well with my other animals. He was so easy to please; good food, a soft bed and plenty of company.

My husband often said that he wished that we'd had Oki Dog his whole life, that our time with him would be too short. It was.

A lovely old boy, a dear, sweet soul, I will miss Oki Dog.
