"They come into our lives with their love and light and then they go,
and we have been profoundly blessed and shown how to be better beings.

In Memory of "Rose"
Remembered by Janet Holburn

ROSE HOLBURN -

In memory of our dear Rose, gently departed from our grieving hearts  on December 22, 2011, age 14 years and 8 months.

Arrived May 10, 2007 from a kill shelter to continue her second life in our home and hearts.

Accepted readily  by her brother Chester and gentle friend.

Your soul is free now but your spirit will always be with us.

Lovely and stoic, forever gracious, until we meet again.

She was an old dog that I rescued from Cedar Bend Iowa on the Petfinder page.

She had an URGENT sticker on her cage and was scheduled to be put down on the Friday, so I had her pulled on the Tuesday prior and North West airlines flew her down from Minneapolis.

She was lovely, intelligent, stoic and always gracious, and within a few days of her arrival, she realized she had nothing to fear and she became Chester's sidekick, running together, playing with balls and toys.

She realized she did not have to hide the balls or her kibble, that it would always be there for her.
Rose arrives She revels in the water August 2008 Snow dog

I still get overcome with grief when I see her photos.....I miss her so much.
