Focus on saving animals not on launching lawsuits Letter Monday, December 03, 2007
The Humane Society of Windsor-Essex County should focus more of its attention on the animals in need of money to help save and protect them from harm. We all need to support our local humane society in getting additional funds to build the new $2-million facility that is needed so that cats will no longer need to be euthanized. My concern is that these many pending lawsuits will take the much-needed money away from the animals and the new facility. The humane society should move on because if this case goes to Superior Court, the lawyers involved stand to make a lot of money. Where does the money come from involving all of these lawsuits? If Windsor Animal Rescue ends up losing in court and they close their business, it will only harm the animals that they also work so hard to protect.
