I want to start the new year by sharing something wonderful I just found on youtube (some of you might already know), the "Dog Town" located in Utah, a sanctuary for abused, abandoned and neglected animals. In the beginning of January, National Geographic Channel will air the first episode of a weekly TV series on the work they do to help the animals. Dog Town has skilled veterinarians to look after all the rescues and finding homes for them, a set up I can only dreamt of in some of the countries, where strays are nothing but stories of tragedies. How they facilitate the rescue process is admirable, so I thought this is what I wanted to share with you to mark the beginning of the year 2008. To know about Dog Town has brought much comfort to my tormented heart, knowing such sanctuary (not just for endangered species, but for strays) exists.
