New Sled Dog Watchdog major website update *LINK* *PIC*

After much trial and tribulation/blood, sweat and tears, I have completed a major update to the SledDogWatchdog.com web site, in time for the 'wonderful Yukon Quest,' which started today in Fairbanks, Alaska. There was a huge number of web visits to the site today, I just finished testing the site mid day today.

An important part of this update is a letter writing campaign to Quest sponsors/supporters in government, media, and private sector sponsors). There is also a very important campaign to get Yukon school teachers from brainwashing innocent school children (class projects about the Quest, an 'adopt-a-musher' program) in order to become young 'disciples of dog mushing.' (I would like to know if the children are taught about dog culling and the shameful way most sled dogs are forced to live).

On behalf of the dogs, I wish to thank the great people who support the AAS community and Yukon animal causes. I would especially like to thank Judy Stone, whose 'Howl for Yukon sled dogs' letter published in both Whitehorse papers late last year had a big impact on readers and caused a couple of defenders of Yukon animal exploitation to pop their heads out of their 'spider holes' to contribute to the debate.

Please feel free to let me know what you think of the site or if you notice any typos, broken links, etc. - I still need to insert some 'printer-friendly code' which I will get to as soon as I can.

There is a lot of anger in the wording of some of the commentary, I guess that is likely to happen when after several years you fail to get any response from the authorities who perpetrate and/or support cruelty and exploitation.

Thanks to my biggest supporter, (Saint) Mike Grieco (it helps that he is Italian) and thanks to Lavone Zeviar for always being on watch for animals and nature.
