A jaguar was shot and killed by the Ontario Provincial Police after it escaped from an exotic animal compound in cottage country. OPP officers were called to the Guha Exotic Animal Reserve in Bracebridge, around 5 p.m. Tuesday by the owner who said that a 182-kilogram jaguar named Bhino had escaped after breaking through a chainlink fence. When officers arrived, they found Bhino still on the compound near the owner's house with a pet dog in its mouth, the OPP said yesterday. The dog, which had been chained, was also killed.
