Three stray Shar peis picked up Vancouver recently - one of them emaciated *LINK* *PIC*

Trevor, our latest rescue...

Vancouver Animal Control contacted TNT about a dog they had found on the streets of the West side. (This is the third stray shar pei picked up in as many months). When our volunteer went to go pick up the dog, she was shocked at the sight of him. The dog was skin and bone, even though he had put weight on since being picked up. He had puncture marks and scars on his body and his eyes and ears were infected. But he was wagging his tail at our volunteer! "Trevor" had also made quite an impression on the shelter staff, and they all came to say good bye to him and were happy to see him getting out of the shelter.

Trevor is now in foster care, with a male and two females, and even though he is not yet neutered, he has not caused any trouble, (unlike his small and bratty foster sister). Trevor is a "velcro" dog, he just wants to be with you, in the same room, and will follow you wherever you go, with his tail wagging! Once Trevor puts on some weight, he will be neutered and then he will be ready for adoption.

It’s hard for us to understand how this sweet, loveable guy ended up as he did, he was in a sorry state, emaciated, missing fur, along with badly infected ears. Trevor is so cute and funny, he’ll be a big beautiful blue dog by the time he is ready for adoption. He’s putting on weight and muscle on the raw food diet, and we will be looking for a great home for him to be spoiled and loved for the rest of his days.
