Bill S-203: WSPA makes it easy to say NO to this bill

From WSPA:

I am happy to say that a joint WSPA, CFHS and IFAW press conference with Marlene Jennings, Former Liberal Justice Critic, MP-Notre-Dame-de-Grace-Lachine and Joe Comartin, NDP Justice Critic, MP

Windsor Tecumseh went very well yesterday.

Several print and radio stories appeared across Canada including this one in the Toronto Star: http://www.thestar.com/Canada/Columnist/article/408877

Bill S-203 goes to third and final reading this Friday. MPs could be voting on this bill then or very soon after. If you haven’t already done so, please call or write to your MP and urge them to vote against Bill S-203. Tell them that every animal welfare group in the country opposes this bill because it retains all the loopholes and flaws in our 1892 law. While Bill S-203 will increase penalties for animal cruelty crimes, it will only be for the less than 1% of animal abusers that are convicted. This weak and ineffective bill does not address the fact that the vast majority of animal abusers slip through the cracks, unpunished.
