First, I loved your comment on Mary Martin's blog. My sentiments entirely!

Second, I write to ask if you could post an appeal for us on the WatchDog. We are a Canadian founded and run animal sanctuary in Jamaica (no-kill). After going through some really hard times (four hurricanes in less than three years for a start) we have finally got a commitment for the long term support we have sought for so long - a major hotel chain is registering a foundation which will provide us with coverage of our annual expenses commencing in May. This is wonderful - however, because I was ill for several weeks during February and march our cash flow was not sustained (I am head cook, bottle washer and fundraiser) and we are in serious need of funds to get through the next couple of weeks so that we can feed our 149 in-house guests.

I should also add that our adoption rate is very high - last year we found 167 wonderful homes both here and in Canada and the U.S (the latter after tourists fell in love with strays and asked us to rescue them and send them up).

If you could also circulate our need to any other animal groups/lovers you know of it would be greatly appreciated.
