Annual Open House April 26-27
If it feels like spring is finally on it's way, it means O.W.L.'s Annual Open House is also on its way. This year the Open House is on April 26 and April 27 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. For those who've never been to the Open House, it's the only time of the year when the public is allowed to tour the back cages where all of our rehab work really takes place. To see the specially designed cages where over 300 birds a year are treated for injuries and rehabilitated for release back into the wild, is a real education in itself. As usual, there will be other things of interest, such as exhibits set up by other animal rehab organizations, the interpretation centre and best of all, if the conditions are favourable on each day, the release of a rehabbed eagle which is what O.W.L. is all about.
