The Little Campbell River is one of BC’s 13 most endangered rivers. The River and its watershed are now threatened by expansion of an industrial development known as Campbell Heights.

The area known as “Stokes Pit” – central to the Little Campbell Watershed - was rated a Class 1 Environmentally Sensitive Area in 1997. The area was home to about 200 species of wildlife, including nearly 20 endangered species and Class 1 Fish Bearing Streams

The Campbell Heights industrial park is on top of the Brookswood Aquifer, an important ground water source for human and wildlife populations in Langley, Surrey & White Rock.
