Meet Bear, 8 years old, 100 pound neutered black male Bouvier, natural ears and tail, and a real Bouv's Bouv!

Cat and dog friendly.

Has lived around lots of people and children, although maintains his aloof Bouv demeanor with all except those identified as his 'family.'

Lives next door to cattle and horses and doesn't bother them.

Has lived indoor/outdoor on unfenced country property. Is protective of property and has run real bears off the grounds.

Will sound an appropriate 'alarm' when strangers enter the property and run to check them out, but has not been 'menacing.'

He has the Bouv's sensitive digestion but does well on his regular diet, not well if he gets into the neighbor's compost or eats 'people food'!

At his age he's a little slower to jump up from a lying down position, but still plenty frisky out on his walks. We don't think he sees as
well as in his youth, but don't have a firm reading on that. He sees his Vet regularly and records will be available.

He will chase cars if he has the opportunity and is in the mood.

He's living in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, and needs a new home by the end of April. The BC and Alberta Bouv Clubs are working on this, but we are concerned with how little time we have left. We so don't want his loyal Bouv heart broken by getting bounced around from home to home..... we hope you can help us find him a new permanent home where he will not be an "outside dog" but will spend the rest of his life as a truly loved family member.
