"This horse (Big Brown, who won The Kentucky Derby) showed you his heart and Eight Belles (running with two broken ankles and still coming second) showed you her life for our entertainment today."

Eight Belles was rewarded by being killed by lethal injection while still on the track.

I wonder how we can be entertained tomorrow? Perhaps we could organize a group and get ring-side seats at a slaughterhouse. If we paid enough, we might be able to participate in the debeaking of baby chicks for the Egg Industry (notice it's not even the Chicken Industry-they're just the machines).
