As per Barry's request for more "entertainment", can I suggest that you look up The McDonald Family Animal Rescue link. They are a small operation out of Edmonton and do excellent work. If you click on to Recent Rescues you will see a small rescue of some of the battery hens (5000) that were going to slaughter because they were only laying at 80% and therefore not considered profitable. They are then thrown into a wood chipper! which is quite legal to do apparently. I haven't eaten meat in a very long time as a protest to the horrific things done to any of these gentle beasts. It's just my way of protesting against cruelty beyond comprehension.
