Alert:Kelowna City Staff Want Bunnies Killed!

I learned this a.m. that City staff is recommending that EBB Environmental Consulting receive the rabbit control contract (TRACS also applied, without success). The issue goes to Council on Monday May 12th at 1:30. Our concern is that EBB will capture and kill the rabbits (this was confirmed in a phone call to the company). TRACS launched the program in March and to date we have rescued 214 bunnies. Unless Mayor and Council reject the city staff's recommendation, the rest of Kelowna's rabbits will become victims.
