My list is so short it doesn't require notation to remember:
- Lethal injection by a veterinarian.
Euthanasia is a decision that I agonize over. It is only decided upon to end unrelievable pain and suffering when all alternatives have been exhausted. As Rick Sargent so aptly stated: "The true definition of euthanisation is restricted to a painless death to end untreatable suffering."
In 1970, Crosby, Stills and Nash penned the introspective song "Teach your chidren well". Here we are 38 years later condoning shooting a tiny, defenseless creature in the head with a bolt.
Exactly what message are we conveying to the young people of today's society?
"Can you hear and do you care and
Can't you see we must be free to
Teach your children what you believe in.
Make a world that we can live in."
