Not surprised that SPCA has hammered another nail in its own coffin

So.....are we all surprised that once again the BCSPCA has hammered another nail in its own coffin? I think not. As per several newspaper reports the BCSPCA was notified in 2006 of the disgusting conditions of the sled dogs of Howling Dogs Sled dogs in Whistler BC were kept. Dogs underfed, overworked and left on trucks for who knows how long really, in subzero temps. Is it any surprise that once again a "human" has tried to capitalize on animals? I think not. Why did the BCPSCA not go and investigate the complaints? As per the newspaper article.....their staff had other things going on. Hummm... I guess "unadoptable" (the BCSPCA's own words) sled dogs were not a priority. I mean who really would want to help dogs that are truly in need? Well, I can say that if the sled dog manager and owners really were concerned about their dogs the internet is a fabulous voice and network...but they didn't try and the BCSPCA didn't try either... they didn't even BOTHER to make the 2 1/2half hr trip to see if these dogs were in as bad of shape as reported. Once again the BCSPCA has let dogs down. No surprise there. I have been in dog rescue for many years, so I am one of the hundreds in animal rescue who has seen the SPCA repeatedly let dogs down.
