SPCA threats, intimidation and retribution

I am a core volunteer for Boxer Rescue Canada. I have been with Boxer Rescue Canada for over 8 years. Several yrs back another volunteer thought it was a good idea for BRC to be "an approved BCSPCA rescue group". So the papers were sent in and BRC was approved. Not too long after that I received an email from a manager of the Surrey SPCA, stating that she was told by Bob Busch, the manager of all SPCA branches, to tell me that Boxer Rescue Canada had been taken off the approved SPCA list. I was told by the Surrey manager that it was due to my postings on AAS and also due to a letter I wrote the Mayor of Surrey stating my concerns over two incidents that I personally witnessed where the SPCA acted contrary to its contract with Surrey to enforce dog control bylaws and its mandate to prevent cruelty.

I had no intentions of retracting anything I said, posted or wrote , it was all the truth and nothing but the truth. I then contacted the head of BRC and told her what had happened and offered to resign from Boxer Rescue Canada as it was personal beliefs that caused BRC to be stricken from the "approved list". She replied that NO she didn't want me to leave and to heck with the "approved" SPCA status.

Even though the SPCA's retribution means that Boxer Rescue Canada, the best group to take the SPCA's sick or behaviourally challenged Boxers which the SPCA is going to kill, will no longer be able to save Boxers from the SPCA, in my opinion we are better off not to be associated with the SPCA in any way at all.

There are plenty of Boxers that are going to die without our intervention that are not at SPCAs so there's no need to help the SPCA cover up by being silent.
