Sled Dog Task Force - Time Frame

http://www.gov.bc.ca/agri/taskforce.html

Less than 2 months to make recommendations to prevent such an incident from occurring again. Not very high on the priority list is it. Just get it done and over with so we can sweep it under the snow. With the 3 individuals chosen for the Task Force I guess really it wouldn't matter how much time they had.Ministry of Agriculture - Do they not deal with "livestock"? So is this how they see Sled Dogs too?

I'm not seeing anywhere on the Ministry of Agriculture Website to say that they have anything to do with animal welfare. From what I can see their sole purpose is for the protection of people by monitoring the health of livestock and animals that might pass diseases.

The Unit supports the sustainability of animal agriculture, while serving to protect the wellbeing of the people of the province, by monitoring antibiotic use and antimicrobial resistance, investigating zoonotic diseases (those diseases that can pass from animals to people), as well as investigating diseases that impact livestock production.
