What a terribly sad story..I hope now that this woman feels the support she needs to do what is right in her heart. It is really the work, unfortunately of private citizens that helps these poor dogs out.

I had the same incident with a dog I complained about with the SPCA...I complained about a dog being kept outside all the time to the SPCA and someone went and checked on the dog and then told me the dog was 'well taken care of'. I explained that a dog sitting outside 24 hours a day with no companionship, no excercise, CRYING ALL the time with numerous neighbours complaining about the noise was not a dog well taken care of and the SPCA officer actually wanted to argue with me over this point...

And then they wonder why their donations are down. I am personally sick of how useless the SPCA is..
