Letter to Prince George Citizen: Does the SPCA spay/neuter all the animals they adopt out PRIOR to them leaving the SPCA? The answer is NO

The Editor,
The Prince George Citizen

The word NOBODY (fixes their animals) is very incorrect. I have three dogs, four cats and I’m fostering 3 cats for a rescue group. ALL of my pets and my foster cats have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, vet checked and loved. I find it very insulting that you have included the good owners of Prince George in your statement!! Perhaps the SPCA should think a little more carefully before choosing the words it uses in its next interview.

Does the SPCA spay/neuter all the animals they adopt out PRIOR to them leaving the SPCA? I already know the answeris NO. So therefore, the SPCA falls into your category of NOBODY – the SPCA is as guilty as every owner who doesn’t spay/neuter. This pet overpopulation problem is not just caused by the citizens of Prince George – a huge part of it is because the SPCA doesn’t care enough about animals to stop the cycle of killing by spaying/neutering EVERY animal before it is adopted out to his/her new family. Maybe the SPCA should think about this LEAD BY EXAMPLE

SPCA still prefers to kill animals than shut off the supply. The juxtaposition of these two articles shows why
I picked up a mom and kittens off the side of the road and out of my own pocket, spayed and neutered everyone recently
Prince George SPCA won't let any dog rescue groups save lives
How do they justify ANY dogs being adopted at Prince George in that case?
