Welcome Home Klemtu!

It is amazing how by forming strategic partnerships with the RCMP in Bella Bella and Klemtu, with Pacific Coastal Airlines and with many other animal welfare groups, AAS and BHR are able to assist the most medically fragile and at risk companion animals in the province.

Only because of the relationship that AAS and BHR have developed with the RCMP and Pacific Coastal Airlines is Klemtu now safe, loved and is being medically treated.

Surprisingly, these relationships are easily formed when there is an agreed upon goal of animal welfare, when there is a desire to save a life rather than end it and when there is a request for assistance another very special companion has a second chance at life.

Working in a partnership with the RCMP and Pacific Coastal Airlines has proven over and over again how AAS and BHR have been able to provide life saving interventions to cats and dogs whose lives are at risk in Northern British Columbia and I am proud to have Klemtu join those who have come before her.

Hats off to Pacific Coastal, its employee's and directors, to the RCMP officers who work with rescue groups to save lives and to community members in Bella Bella and Klemtu who seek alternatives and support for the pets who would not be here today if it was not for them speaking out and reaching out.
