I am always horrified whenever ANYONE suggests that just because a cat has Feline Leukemia, FIV(Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), or FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) that it should immediately be euthanised. Lots of cats affected with these conditions lead normal healthy lives.
The presence of any of these conditions can often be difficult to determine - titres measure levels of resistance mounted to certain pathogens, and are not always indicative of a yes or no answer.
The presence of Feline Leukemia, FIV, or FIP in an otherwise healthy cat should NEVER be a reason to invoke a death sentence.
