Currently, my husband and I are monitoring a large dog that is being kept in a very small penned off area
in a back yard. It's about 5 feet by 12 feet, concrete and the dog is tethered to a clothesline so it can
only walk up and down. The sides of the pen are plywooded over and the back is a garage door. The front is a slatted fence that faces onto a deserted alley. This poor thing gets no stimulation at all! It
is out there all the time. There is a doghouse for it but that's it. We approached a woman going into
the house on the weekend but she said she was the tenant and had not lived there long. The owner
was not home. We will be speaking to the owner and will leave some of the info on tethering and
isolating animals that I printed up from your website.
This dog looks pathetic but seems sweet. We can't go onto their property but we stand at the alley
and talk to it and it wags its tail hopefully. We were initially drawn to it because we heard some
crying while we were out for a walk and came across it just as the owner was coming out to yell at it.
