Actually I was talking to my teacher about this too, I was really disturbed and I asked her about using alternatives. She said she'll have to look at them first and decide, but it was possible. So I wrote a report on the resources I could find on the internet. I gave it to her, but of course, the reply was...they weren't good enough. I had to explain that the ones she looked was free internet ones, the ones bought would be much better, she said she'll have to see. I'm also waiting for my principal to reply to my request of reading the report.

About dissection, all I can say is that I learnt nothing that was worth killing a life for.
And I think it didn't teach much except disrespect for animals. The most important reason I hated dissection labs was that how much "that's gross" "i don't want to touch that" "i just wanna stab that thing" "let's just cut it open" I heard. ARE ANIMALS JUST TOOLS? just because we are "superior" does it mean we can think animals as lower????
And every one of the dissections I had to do, I had to go home and check up the internet about the organs and information. The specimen was just not clear enough.
