I agree, why are this pitbulls being shipped to BC when we have so many here in need? Everytime I frequent the Surrey SPCA there are ALWAYS pit bulls and pitty crosses, waiting, waiting, waiting for a loving family that usually never comes. Why hasn't this "animal advocate" as she calls herself travelled around and looked in our jail cells? Pit bulls are discarded by their so called guardians like yesterday's trash, with little or no thought of what may happen to their animal. Used up breeding stock, too much trouble to keep anymore, the excuses go on and on. This breed was made by "man" and "man" has destroyed and doomed them. Just take a tour around to all the SPCAS and pounds, your heart will break seeing all the discarded animals, and a lot are pit bulls. No animal should be bred for fighting or guarding, no living thing should have to endure the horrors that this particular breed often does. If you need something guarded, get a monitored alarm.
I have had the opportunity to help place two pit bulls from Vancouver Island, they went a pitbull rescue here in B.C. He has several rescue pits and can not take anymore. There is no end in the number that need help, right here in B.C.
